We are looking for an experienced VMS/MSP Strategic Accounts Manager to oversee operational and recruitment activities to continue to grow our VMS/MSP and strategic accounts book of business and meet and exceed the delivery expectations our Clients. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with large VMS/MSP or single point of contact high volume strategic accounts, preferably within the Healthcare Staffing Industry.   • Be the single point of contact for VMS/MSP programs and/or strategic accounts and be the Liaison between these programs and our team of Recruiters and Providers.
  • Establishes, fosters, and maintains positive relationships with key decision makers at VMS/MSP programs or strategic accounts through regular phone and email contact.
  • Disperse open needs to the team and follow up as needed to obtain job descriptions and requirements on open positions. Attend individual specialty stand up meetings weekly to discuss and promote open positions and help instill a sense of urgency.
  • Establish the requirements for name clears, candidate submissions and confirmation letters for each individual program and update any procedural changes to the teams as needed.
  • Enter new jobs into the Erecruit database and post positions for publishing.
  • Reviews and manages candidate submissions from Recruiters to ensure the highest quality candidates are being matched to the positions. Coordinate candidate paperwork to ensure compliance with individual program requirements and then enter the candidates into the Vendor Management Systems for submission.
  • Follow up with the VMS/MSP Programs or strategic accounts to obtain updates on jobs orders, candidate submissions, interviewing, hiring and assignment of Providers and update the teams accordingly.
  • Enter new users into the Vendor Managements Systems if applicable and set up user profiles, work orders, Locum details forms and confirmation letters.
  • Monitor activity within the Vendor Management Systems or strategic account daily to ensure that all interviews have been accepted and confirmed and that all candidate offers are being processed timely and in compliance with the individual program guidelines.
  • Audit timecards on a weekly basis to ensure accuracy in Provider pay and Client billing. Work with the BSO team to assist with timely resolution on all payroll, billing, and system issues to help facilitate timely reimbursement of services.
  • Obtain credentialing point of contact information for the Credentialing Department and attend weekly Credentialing Meetings to review the status of each candidate’s file, assisting as needed.
  • Help create Standard Operation Procedures for the VMS/MSP Strategic Account Manager role and be involved in identifying and facilitating opportunities for continuous process improvement.
  • Accountable for meeting all production goals as well as monthly/quarterly reporting to leadership on the various metrics that have been established for the role.
  • Identify opportunities for further growth of existing accounts.
  • All other duties assigned by management.

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in the Healthcare Staffing Industry.
  • Prior experience with large VMS/MSP and/or strategic accounts in a similar role.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience working with Locum Tenens providers and/or clients a plus.


  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Email and Internet applications.
  • Knowledge of leading VMS technology (i.e Shiftwise, Fieldglass, Locumsmart, etc.)
  • Must possess strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to negotiate and overcome objections
  • Can handle all aspects of a large customer base with excellent customer service skills in order to produce positive outcomes.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Track record of achieving sales results/goals and retaining Customers
  • Superior interpersonal skills including the ability to inspire, motivate and support a team, and promote and cultivate teamwork, as well as manage and track performance.
