THE OPPORTUNITY

The Marketing Manager is responsible for all corporate communications efforts and marketing department management.

Technical Skills

Must have advanced skills and be extremely proficient in:

  • MS PowerPoint
  • MS Excel
  • MS Word
  • MS SharePoint
  • WordPress
  • Hootsuite (or other social media management tool)
  • MailChimp (or another email campaign tool)
  • Adobe InDesign is a plus
  • Google Search Console
  • Google Analytics

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain brand marketing strategies for the company
  • Manage and mentor marketing team members
  • Must be able to engage effectively with senior executives, management, external vendors, and media
  • Develop, implement, and maintain SEO strategies
  • Maintain inventory of all promotional items for all divisions and offices
  • Coordinate and submit all local market and national award submissions and post-award press releases
  • Manage and plan annual company incentive trip
  • Create content to improve overall keyword ranking for web properties, including but not limited to company blogs, newsletters, emails, press releases, etc.
  • Implement marketing campaigns for different business lines
  • Keep current with emerging technologies through digital, website, and social avenues. Keep track of the latest innovations and recent cutting-edge launches in order to identify opportunities
  • Research market trends for content to create newsletters, infographics, and other marketing materials
  • Maintain SharePoint homepage content and Marketing libraries
  • Update and maintain WordPress website content
  • Manage all social media traffic and maintain and update all corporate pages/profiles across Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Google Business, Glassdoor, Indeed, and website newsrooms (blog)
  • Provide monthly reporting on SEO, social media, and additional marketing efforts
  • Create, monitor, and manage paid online advertising campaigns
  • Act as company point of contact for all marketing vendors, media contacts, and event managers
  • Research and negotiate best customer pricing with marketing vendors to ensure company budgets are being adhered to

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience working in a marketing, public relations, or communications role
  • 2+ years of experience managing a marketing team
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; organizational and time-management skills; and interpersonal skills required
  • Must be detail-oriented, poised, and composed under pressure, and must be able to deliver on time-sensitive requests
  • Ability to produce a portfolio of sample work
  • Must have a team player attitude and be able to assist with an array of projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, or advertising/PR
