MPLT Healthcare is seeking a full-time Billing Specialist.  This person will be ultimately responsible for the following:

  • Conduct weekly, bi-weekly, standard monthly, calendar monthly billing, and other processes for assigned portfolio
    • Ensure accuracy of client invoice, frequency, distribution method, contact and format
    • Review expense invoices for accuracy and that all back-up has been received
    • Work with various clients to obtain cost center, purchase order, and other invoicing specifics
    • Process and track revenue and non-revenue adjustments and bad debt write offs
  • Complete weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting for client and management review
  • Coordinate and/or participate in intercompany and client discussions
  • Conduct research, complete or assist in account reconciliations
    • Identify and communicate billing discrepancies
    • Make necessary corrections
  • Complete client set-up activity for new clients/new contracts within assigned billing portfolio
  • Work with internal and external customers to resolve billing discrepancies
    • Identify areas of opportunities to be pro-active
  • Work with Accounts Receivable and Payroll Specialists on various tasks relative to successful AR management
  • Verify consultant hours in VMS system


The ideal candidate will have a background of at least 3 years billing experience in a fast-paced environment. Staffing experience is preferred.

  • Previous experience with billing, billing adjustments, accounts receivable and vendor management systems (VMS)
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong orientation to detail with solid follow up skills
  • Ability to maintain and meet deadlines
  • Microsoft Office skills, including intermediate knowledge or better of Excel
  • Comfortable with creating reports, analyzing data and making recommendations
  • Self-motivated and has ability to work independently
