Position Details:

• We are seeking a qualified Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant (PA) to join a team at a Level 1 trauma center. This role includes a combination of trauma-related and general cardiovascular care responsibilities.
• Key Responsibilities:
• Provide call coverage for trauma-related cardiac injuries and general cardiovascular questions or admissions.
• Assist in the operating room as a First Assist (OR FA) – further details pending.
• Perform endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) – additional information pending.
• Additional Information:
• The hospital’s Division of Pediatric General, Thoracic, and Minimally Invasive Surgery is staffed by three board-certified pediatric surgeons who treat patients ranging from premature infants to young adults (up to 21 years).
• The PA will work alongside residents, fellows, and attending physicians and will participate in daytime clinic coverage as part of their role.
• This is a supplemental position to support the existing team.
• Requirements:
• Active PA license
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
• PA State license and DEA certification required
