Position Summary
The IT Manager is responsible for the design, implementation, integration, and optimization of MPLT’s core technology platforms and data infrastructure. This role focuses on building scalable system architecture, managing database environments, leading system integrations, and overseeing third-party vendors supporting cybersecurity and help desk operations.
Key Responsibilities
Data Architecture & Database Management (Primary Focus)
- Design and maintain scalable data architecture to support reporting, analytics, and business operations.
- Oversee database structure, integrity, optimization, and documentation.
- Define and document data flows between ERP, CRM, ATS, and other business systems.
- Establish data standards, naming conventions, and data governance practices in partnership with leadership.
- Partner with the Business Intelligence Committee to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency.
- Support data consolidation and system alignment for executive reporting.
Systems Implementations & Integrations
- Lead implementation of new systems and enhancements to existing platforms.
- Manage ERP integrations and cross-platform system connectivity.
- Map, test, and validate system integrations to ensure data accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for system architecture and integration processes.
- Coordinate with vendors during upgrades, migrations, and system rollouts.
- Drive user adoption through structured implementation planning and communication.
Vendor Management (Cybersecurity & Help Desk)
- Oversee Managed Service Provider (MSP) delivering cybersecurity, infrastructure monitoring, and help desk services.
- Review security reports, incident logs, and risk assessments from vendors.
- Ensure SLAs are met for help desk response times and system uptime.
- Partner with MSP to maintain business continuity and disaster recovery readiness.
- Escalate material risks or recurring issues to leadership.
- Evaluate vendor performance, contracts, and cost efficiency.
IT Operations & Performance Management
- Monitor system performance and reliability.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve system issues before they impact business operations.
- Maintain hardware standards and oversee asset tracking processes.
- Forecast technology needs aligned with company growth.
- Prepare and manage IT budget in partnership with leadership.
- Track key metrics including uptime, ticket resolution time, vendor SLA adherence, and project delivery timelines.
Change Management & User Adoption
- Lead change management efforts for system upgrades and new technology rollouts.
- Develop communication and training plans to drive user adoption.
Collaboration & Strategic Growth
- Partner with department leaders to understand operational system needs.
- Provide regular updates to leadership on system performance and project progress.
- Contribute to long-term technology planning and scalability discussions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of progressive IT experience with demonstrated ownership of systems and data environments.
- Experience leading system implementations and managing integrations across platforms.
- Experience managing or overseeing database environments.
- Experience partnering with Managed Service Providers (MSPs).
- Strong understanding of data architecture principles and reporting environments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently and deliver measurable results.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate technical concepts into business impact.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization platforms.
- Experience with SQL and database querying.
- Experience working with ERP systems, ATS platforms, and CRM platforms.
- Experience in staffing, healthcare, or professional services environments.
- Exposure to high-growth or private equity-backed environments.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and transport equipment up to 25–35 pounds (laptops, monitors, docking stations, and related hardware).
- Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and crouch as needed to install or troubleshoot computer equipment and peripherals.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
- Ability to move between office workspaces to support equipment setup and troubleshooting.
- Ability to use hands and fingers to operate computers, tools, and related equipment.
